The Coalition applied for Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grants for dedicated equestrian trails resulting in $550,000 in project funds. It took almost 10 years to activate the grants and construct 19+ miles of equestrian trails along with a one-of-a-kind 3 acre trailhead. Construction kicked off in March of 2019. In May 2021, the trails were officially opened!!
The Coalition would like to thank all of the contractors, volunteers, donors, and sponsors that got this trail built. We also thank the US Forest Service and Texas Parks and Wildlife for their partnership and support.
