The Sam Houston Trails Coalition is built on volunteers. Volunteers contribute numerous hours and effort to building, repairing, and maintaining the trails in the Sam Houston National Forest. Often this work is done without expecting anything in return. While "thank you" goes a long way, we can do more. The USFS and Trails Coalition have created a Volunteer Recognition program. It is based on hours logged through the Volunteer Hours Reporting form (formerly known as Accomplishment Report). Volunteers and contributions will be celebrated annually at the February Members meeting.
There are two levels of awards:
Annual Hours - Top volunteers
Lifetime Cumulative Service Hours
See the VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION document for awards and levels of achievement.
